The Peninsula Oilers Baseball Club, Inc. and The Oilers Booster Club are offering scholarships again this year. Application forms can be downloaded on-line but must be submitted in person or my mail.

Mission Statement of Oilers

The goal of the Peninsula Oilers Baseball Club, Inc. is to foster, promote and organize amateur and recreational baseball on the Kenai Peninsula.

Selection Criteria

The Scholarship Committee will use the following criteria in evaluating and selecting an applicant for a scholarship.

1. Participate in athletics.
2. Demonstrated community service.
3. Minimum GPA 3.2.
4. Completed Oilers’ Financial Statement – show need for scholarship.
5. College or Trade School Major.

Peninsula Oilers Baseball Club Scholarship

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for one of four $1,000 scholarships given to Nikiski, Kenai Central, Soldotna and Skyview High Schools.

  1. Must currently be enrolled as a senior at one of the four high schools listed above.
  2. Must be scheduled to graduate May/June 2007.
  3. Should be interested in or have participated in athletics.

To apply for this scholarship:

  1. Fill out application form.
  2. Mail your application to Peninsula Oilers Baseball Club, Inc. P.O. Box 319, Kenai, AK 99611, or bring it to the Oilers office located on the corner of Cook and Main in Kenai.
  3. All applications must be postmarked by 4 pm, Friday April 13, 2007 or delivered to the office in Kenai no later than 4 pm, Friday April 13, 2007.

Oilers Booster Club Scholarship

The Oilers Baseball Booster Club, Inc. is pleased to extend our scholarship program again this year. Two scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors from any Kenai Peninsula high school program. Two (2) scholarships of $1,000 will be awarded to the graduating seniors deemed most worthy by the Oilers Baseball Booster Club Scholarship Committee.

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for these scholarships:

  1. Must currently be enrolled as a senior in any Kenai Peninsula high school program.
  2. Must be scheduled to graduate May/June of 2007
  3. Should be interested in or have participated in athletics, primarily baseball or softball.

In order to apply for this scholarship:

  1. Fill out application form.
  2. Mail your application to Oilers Baseball Booster Club, Inc., PO Box 1113 Kenai, AK 99611 or bring it to the Oilers office located on the corner of Cook and Main in Kenai.
  3. All applications must be received in our office by 4 PM on Friday, April 13, 2007.
